Comments
Comments: Fives minutes in on the Carriage Rd., we decided snowshoes would work best. Minimal snow down low and and continuing deeper as we ascended. But it was soft spring snow so it would have been a post-holing nightmare without the snowshoes. Could have switched to spikes above treeline as the snow is all but gone. Just ice and minimal slush for the .1 mile. Hit South Peak as well to enjoy the great under-cast to the south and west.

The irony of this day was, it was by far the warmest and least windy winter hike of the year for me. Yet, the longest I wore my snowshoes. Car to car basically.

P.S. Carriage Rd. would make for a great ski right now.
