Well I needed a 4k a day and Pierce seemed to be my choice. I saw 13 others out there today. It was snowy, windy, and very boney! The last 2 weeks of the whites have been snowshoes and since I need to keep up with the weight carry, snowshoes went for the ride (no way I would have put them on). I barebooted until 4000’ then put spikes on but it was only because I needed to change layers out. I kept the rock spikes on back to the car with the constant hitting the blocks of clumped snow off every few steps. There were even bare rock up on top! So crazy. |
