(The Teal Goat, The Home Demon, MattJim, Shelley, Just Ben, Gypsy The Destroyer, The Polish Princess, Janet) A FINE day in the forest was had. My once a year pilgrimage to anywhere near the town of Conway, of which I despise with the fire of a thousands suns. I wish I could be like bugs bunny and saw that terrible town off into the ocean. Surprisingly different conditions over there than the Western Whites, there was absolutely zero snow to be had. Ice though, there's plenty of pucker factor to be had on the ledges and above it. I had good spikes and still looked like a baby giraffe learning to walk in a few spots. Several expert hikers out this day with no packs or traction to be had. One day I hope to be this good, I have a lot to learn apparently. I prefer to not have a hospital visit so spikes are definitely needed if you feel the same. This finished JustBen's NH200 highest list, and it was a good day to be up there. Was nice to get The Cone Demon out of retirement, whom is now dubbed The Home Demon, out for an exhibition game. We all where baddies once, now we drink sleepy bear tea and are in bed by seven - dreaming about our gangster days in the woods..... |
