 | Comments: |
Bald Peak is a gem, along with the MT Kinsman Trail. It's a moderate climb, with some flat trail in-between sections. I bare-booted out and back with some care on the return trip. There was some black ice, some hidden by snow, especially at water crossings and higher elevations. However, it could be avoided. Maybe an inch of snow along the spur to Bald Peak. The rock ledges up to the peak were slick with some ice. I also took the flume spur. Saw lots of cool ice formations. Be mindful of the hidden ice and the steepness of that trail section. |
