Comments
Comments: Up Ammo, mixed bag of frozen granular, blue ice, hard pack. We wore snow shoes to the hut. Televaters are great. Some in spikes some in crampons. From the hut to Washington we chose spikes. Worked well. Lots of bare rock and blue ice. The top was crowded. Amazing weather. One guy with no shirt. Gulfside to Jewell a mixed bag of bare ground and blue ice. Stayed with spikes. The jewell was a tough choice for traction. The conditions changed so often you didn't know what to wear. Snow shoes after getting into trees. The jewell is badly postholed.

Tried like heck to get my W-48 done. Fell just short. After my Nov. knee surgery I told my doctor I would climb Mt Washington by March. He told me I would not be able to do it. I have a nice pic to send him.
