Water crossings were straightforward without poles but be super careful of icy rocks. |

Bare boot for the first two miles, but hill sounds came on for the big climb. Trail was in excellent condition for spikes. Mostly flat/packed from previous snowshoers. Frozen solid with a light layer of packed snow gave excellent traction and footing with spikes. |
