 | Comments: |
A dusting of snow covered the entire trail. At the bottom it made the beech leaves a bit more slippery. At the ledges it hid patches of ice. No where was there more than an inch of powder. Snow shoes were not needed and stayed in the car. However, microspikes were a must, especially over the ledges which are very steep. Fortunately some griders left tracks that helped me navigate routes around the worst parts of the ledges. Microspikes went on at about 2.4 miles. Very windy day, but enough snow really even blow around. |
