Comments
Comments: Quick second hike for the day of a bonus NH500 peak. I spotted a sign indicating that mountain biking stopped after November 1st, and without snow, there would be no skiing. So seemed like a great time to grab this peak. The trails from the parking area wandered through the farm, past a few old farm buildings and recently cleared area. Once on the actual biking trails, the trails are clearly signed; and there are several large maps to assist. The trails are banked for biking, but easy to navigate on foot. Sliding Rock trail is appropriately named due to several large slabs that may be quite slippery when wet, so I avoided these on the descent. I took the trails up to the HOL past the slabs, the started the BW in open woods to the summit. Jar was easy to locate on the backside of a tree. Returned on same route avoiding wet slabs.
