 | Comments: |
little to no snow at lower elevation, around an 1" past lower stream crossings and 3" on climb up to ridge. Bare booted to first blowdown - a waist high climb through about 1.5 miles in. Put on snowshoes, more to get the rust off them, than necessity in the 3" powder / light crust unbroken trail past blowdown. Light traction on steep section below ridge would be more than sufficient at this time. Wore my snowshoes to summit and back to first blowdown then switched back to bare boots on way out. Trail broken out to ridge. Ridge was well packed out by numerous hikers already and in good shape. |
