Water Crossing Notes: Rock hoppable on Brook Trail.

Trail Maintenance Notes: A few blowdowns on Brook Trail. North Straightback Link and Quarry Spur (not maintained by BRATTS) are not well blazed.

Comments: Lower elevation trails were mostly dry with some minor mud where the ground frost was thawing.

Hit some ice near the top of the North Straightback Link, but was able to get up it with care. Also hit some ice on the back of Mt. Major, but it was generally on flat ground.

Mt. Major Trail, on the other hand, is starting to ice up on the scramble ledge. The sneaker brigade was struggling with this part. Some other random blue ice bulges forming below there as well.

Chilly partly sunny afternoon with a breeze and temperatures a little bit above freezing.
