No issues with the many small crossings. Water is very low |

All trails in great shape! A couple of small blowdowns but nothing notable. |

Found a pair of collapsible Leki poles at the junction of Pine Bend Brook and Scaur Ridge. Email me if they are yours and I'll get them back to you |

Mixed snow conditions... less than an inch down low, then bony unconsidated snow, then less of powdery snow up high. I bare booted until the trail got steep, switched to spikes, then put on snowshoes once I got near the Scaur Ridge junction. Snowshoes stayed on and helped a lot.
Was super excited to meet the trail adopter for part of Pine Bend Brook out there today! She was lovely to chat with, and happened to be the only person I saw all day despite the warm weather and favorable conditions. |
