I was surprised to find the gate closed already although there was evidence of the road being covered in snow earlier in the week. Barebooted to treeline with careful foot placement then put spikes on and kept them on until the lower junction of South Ridge Tr. There were some significant ice flows started in the woods, however, the summit was mostly ice free with some patches of ice and smow here and there. |
