Comments
Comments: Trails were in excellent condition. Left snowshoes in the car and wore microspikes the entire hike. We hiked up Avalon Trail made a short visit to Mt Avalon then continued to Willey Range Trail to Mt Willey. There was more snow and a few small drifts on the trail after Mt Field, but microspikes worked fine. Trees lining the trail started hurling snow bombs after it warmed up. Took Willey Range Trail to A-Z Trail then an easy up and back to Tom. Plenty of grip returning on A-Z Trail and Avalon Trail back to the car. If we get a snowstorm snowshoes would be be a help and keep the trail in good condition.
