Comments
Comments: Arrived to a snow free parking lot and decided to carry snowshoes anyway. They never came off the pack but we were early birds. Those behind us may feel differently with the warm temps. Trail was easy to follow though with significant mud down low. We put on microspikes about 1-1.5miles in. Wore them the rest of the day.

Tagged both peaks and then went back over the both and down to Kinsman Pond Shelter. Real nice newish shelter. The pond was gorgeous and we got to enjoy some sun. It is still frozen looking though I wouldn't head out on it. Quick early day, we checked out Bald Knob but it was in the undercast and the Flume. Interesting place. Great day out!
