| Comments: |
The Lincoln Woods trail has a lot of frozen slush which was mushy late in the day. Many postholes with many quite large and deep at higher elevations. The ability of the snow to support weight is deteriorating. The best bet is to use flotation and stay in the middle of the snowshoe track. On the open ridge on Bondcliff there is a lot of bare rock and mud along with snow and frozen slush. On West Bond there was a set of foot prints leading in the direction of Franconia Brook Trail.
Upon reaching the summit of Bondcliff I viewed a beautiful undercast with the snowy peaks poking above the clouds. |
