Parking/Access Road Notes: Park at lot and hike 2 miles up Sawyer River Rd to get to the trail start.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction

Water Crossing Notes: One major water crossing, a bit tricky but doable. Slippery logs.

Comments: We didn’t use snow shoes or carry them but could have used them in the last mile to the top. Spikes were definitely helpful particularly on the way down.
