Comments
Comments: Terrific morning on some trails I haven't been to in a long while. Feeling kinda crappy and getting over a cold so decided to poke around the Belknaps again. Hadn't been to the crash site so had a look - very somber, knowing people died there... and then a little airplane flew overhead while I was poking around. The herd path is pretty obvious. Really enjoyed overlook trail - I remembered it being pretty tedious 10+ years ago but I just jogged it and really enjoyed the actual overlook. The bottom of the trail seems to be on the cross-country ski network - I forgot about that I guess - not a big fan of walking on those but glad to be able to use the trails. Near Gunstock summit the ground was pretty slippery due to snowmaking. Also got coated in snow from the guns. It dried pretty quickly. Gorgeous woods and nice time of year in the woods to be able to see the surrounding features.
