Comments
Comments: Was able to park close to lodge and enjoyed the shorter walk. There is snow covering the gorge brook trail starting at the lodge. Was able to bare boot up to about 4000’. Could have used spikes but not required. Still see standing water, slush till about 3800’. There are still lots of rocks to step over. Summit cone is snow covered and could use snowshoes. But not worth it yet to carry up there. Decent snow cover down carriage rd and onto snapper. No real drifting seen. Lower trail is well packed out but getting glazed over. Was able to keep the spikes on back to the car.
