Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Arrived before the Carriage Road gate opened this morning (it did open by mid-morning; can't imagine it'll be open much longer). Noted a car got hung up trying to park roadside before the gate, with the front end stuck on the side of the pavement and one rear tire way up in the air.

Comments
Comments: Trails were fairly dry down low with plenty of slippery leaves covering things up. Fairly consistent coat of snow above 2,000 feet. Also some avoidable black ice, except near the very top of Gunstock, where runoff from snowmaking froze solid on the trail. I was able to bareboot with caution, but others may prefer to have spikes to descend that short stretch. Not needed elsewhere, but more precip (tonight?) may change that.

Sunny, chilly morning with temperatures in the 30s. Snow guns were blasting atop Gunstock.
