Comments
Comments: Round 12 of 12 for this peak for my grid. Hooray! I don’t really enjoy this trail but it’s the quickest option at 2.5 hours round trip. There were a few other hardy hikers out today on this gnarly trail. The snow was pretty. Spikes went on maybe a quarter mile in. It wasn’t too icy but the spikes were necessary I found to get up the awkward slabs. Once I got to the rim section there was a lot more snow, snowshoes could be used here for the last quarter mile. The descent was actually not as bad as I expected in dull microspikes but they were balling up on the heels so I took em off for the last quarter mile.
