 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
No issues. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
No issues with water crossings but use care. Trekking poles recommended for rock hopping. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Three or four large blowdowns but all but one were easy over/under. The tricky one is a very large (chainsaw work) blowdown across the lower part of the trail (maybe within 1st 0.5 mi. or so). No way to walk around and too large to crawl over so need to literally crawl under. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Some of the rock slabs were beginning to ice over so may be tricky for pups. |

 | Comments: |
Only trace amounts (1/4" or so) of snow so I didn't use my microspikes on ascent. I opted to wear them for hike down, however, given the thin layers of ice beginning to form on the rock slabs. |
