 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
This trail needs love for sure, like a chainsaw. 2.19 miles in 6” diameter, 2.87 miles in 6” diameter, 4.03 miles in is where all the blowdowns from maybe a year ago were kind of cleared, but are going to become a major issue when the snow makes it almost impassable, the amount of blowdowns after this were.., a lot. Ken may take some out but those were from the first in and first out look. |

Well what a day to be out! I was surprised to start at 8:30 and be the only one in the lot. The rain cleared a lot of the snow out from previous days. Only real thick ice was around 3700’. I barebooted to the summit and the slabs you could see the ice on it to avoid it, or I just walked in the water as running water means not frozen! The bog bridges up high were a sad sight of mess that needs to be replaced, with some well needed water bars help along the way. I swapped out my baselayer and put on 2 layers with spikes for the decent, probably took off the spikes around 3600’? Made it back down to the car with it snowing out. |
