 | Comments: |
Spring-like conditions around the Crescent Range. About 3 inches of snow atop the ridge - spotty snow on the southern side, more consistent snow cover on the northern side (Underhill Trail). I bare-booted but, in retrospect, should have used microspikes above ~2400'. A couple minor blowdowns, but nothing significant. RMC trails were surprisingly easy to follow since the leaves on the hobblebush have fallen; blazes were always in sight either forwards or backwards.
Objective achieved by reaching Pond of Safety.
Bonus was encountering a bull moose from ~100 yards along Four Soldiers Path |
