Comments
Comments: All kinds of conditions today. Started early so had some nice views of all the surrounding mountains until about 11:00. Peabody Brook Trail was mostly dry except for a few avoidable wet sections. Views from Bald Cap Ledges were excellent. Trace snow started right around 2000'. Above 2500', the bog bridges were mostly frozen and therefore slippery. Short whack to Bald Cap from Wocket Ledge. Around Trident Col, the clouds lowered and snow started. Above 2000', a good inch of snow fell. Very nice walking in the snowy forest from there to Mt. Hayes until I hiked below the snow line at ~1800'. I followed Centennial Trail and walked the road back to the truck. All in all, a very nice day out in the woods. This was #198/203 for the NH200 and #425/457 for the NE3k's.
