Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None, other than a few minor drainage flows.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in good shape, overall. Halfway up the climb up the peak's western slope, there is a wet, very slippery slab of rock, with a long-down log oriented parallel to the trail. Using this log against lower legs can keep feet from sliding on the rock, if done carefully. Otherwise, walking at the very edge of the dirt/tree root mix just at the edge of the trail becomes necessary, at the expense of further erosion.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Easy trail for a dog, overall.

Comments
Comments: Nice cool fall day for this lower-level hike. Still, it's over 8 miles RT, 2300+ ft of elevation gain. We got sprinkled on slightly at the start, and on the final climb to the top we encountered light sleet showers, which gave a white coating at the sides of the trail and on the low bush browth. Otherwise the trails were just somewhat damp from the overnight rain, with some wet stretches up high. The leaves weren't too bad, just plentiful on the trail, and perhaps drying out from the strong breezes in places. We OTHH are still at it!
