Water Crossing Notes: the low water days of late summer/fall are over, everything was pretty full but rock hop-able, though a few of them were a little dicey between imp face and north Carter / imp junction.

Bugs: our group had one deer tick by the end of the day, otherwise a beautiful start to bug-free season

Lost and Found: we saw a green shirt left near the southern imp trailhead, easily visible if it's yours to retrieve 
 
Comments
Comments: lovely day in the mountains despite less than ideal weather. trails were wet to about 2600', frozen above 4400'. we carried micro spikes, one of us used and the other didn't and we both made it through. glad to have had the option though. was about 0.5-1" of snow on the trail above 4000' which is just enough to make things slick but not enough to cover up any obstacles below. typical shoulder season fare
