Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Unlike during the summer drought, there was a good flow of water at the two crossings above Bugle Rock. However, the crossings were quite easy. On the lower one, going across right where the trail up hits the crossing would land you on a smooth, wet rock slope. We elected to go upstream perhaps 30 ft, where there were ample rocks for crossing to a horizontal break in the rock slope.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Although the trail was wet, with some mud, overall the trail is in decent shape.

Comments
Comments: Nice OTHH outing, on a decent fall day, with a wintry look to the trees starting somewhat above the trail split. The rock slab climbs on the final stretch leading to the summit had a lot of wet snow, making them slippery. Most of us had spikes, but the general feeling was that there was not enough well-adhered snow on the slabs for the spikes to help much. That stretch was very slow going up and back down. Bagging Jackson marked the end of my round 9 (yay, lower case).
