Comments
Comments: A tale of two seasons out there today!! Gridded out the Bonds and first day in the snow since April! Shirt and shorts to the Hillary step on the ascent and from the 4th crossing down on the descent, needed my full winter base layering for the summits. Snowline at 3200' in the morning and 3600' in the afternoon so significant upslope melting as the sun bounced in and outta the clouds all day. A couple inches of sticky wet snow made for slow going on the summits, as it was obnoxiously bony and never thought about taking the spikes outta my pack and putting them on my feet. Sun was out in full force for most of the last 5 miles out LW and came out on each summit very briefly.
