Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The Bridge around 3 miles into the hike (forget the name of the bridge) is out due to Inspection Failure. There are ribbons hanging in the trees to find the best route over the water. A bit spicy with the fast flowing water, but we were able to make get over with some big rock hops.

Comments
Comments: Picked this hike to get the Terrifying 25 on Madison Gulf Trail. We started at 4:45am (because who needs sleep?) and had a fun time taking a long route up to Madison. A layer of snow appeared halfway through the Terrifying 25 climb, so that added to the experience. Once we got above treeline, every surface was covered with a layer of snow. Put microspikes on at Madison Hut, and they were a bit helpful. Finally saw other people once we started the ascent to Madison on Osgood Trail. Hoped to do Adams as well, but we were on a bit of a time crunch and the Terrifying 25 took a bit longer than anticipated with the added obstacle of climbing on slippery/snowy rock. Valley Way coming down was fine, with a bit of running water in the trail, but not too much. Almost everyone we saw on trail was prepared with appropriate winter layers and traction.
