Comments
Comments: This was a great alternate plan when some unplanned shenanigans delayed our start for many hours. There is snow on the trees, and the bog boards are iced, but otherwise this route had wet but non-difficult footing. I agree with Ian - I had my light traction but didn’t need it, and will definitely have it in my pack from this point forward. We passed a pair of hikers with no map, no GPS, no packs, and (one) with no shirt who asked where Wildcat A was. (They were on C at that point). Reference awesome and on-point social media post by Andy (xsummitsnackattackx) regarding unprepared hikers on Washington. It was not just Washington. I hope that these two made it off the Wildcat Ridge ok. Stay safe out there, friends.
