I'm posting 1) to remind myself to start posting trip reports and 2) to note that microspikes should be definitely in packs. There was snow on the tree branches starting at about 2,600'. By 4,000', it definitely looked like an (early) winter wonderland. There was no need for spikes--the snow on the trail is trace/minimal depth--but I was very glad I had them, plus my winter layers in my pack. I saw a few people who were definitely unprepared and had to turn around. No views from either peak, but it was amazing to see some snow again :D |
