Comments
Comments: Oof. Airline was a little wet but not bad. From the junction with King Ravine until the Big Rock Pile on Adams (past Quincy Adams) was dry and a nice long scramble. The last 500 feet up Adams was mostly dry in the sun but the occasional wet rock would send you slipping. Star Link was damper and very slow going. Got to Madison Hut and knew there wasn’t enough daylight to soldier up the second damp rock pile of the day. Valley Way was almost entirely running water save for the last 1.5 miles. Like, running enough that I could have just bent down and used it for my water filter at basically any point. We ended up taking around 8 hours just to do Airline up to Adams, Star Link to Madison Hut and Valley Way down. But also we are slow people with joint problems and some active injuries - met a very nice older couple who had raced up a wet King Ravine in 3.5 hours! Our advice - wait a few days after the next bout of rain for a successful dry Adams/Madison loop :)
