Comments
Comments: Good day to hike. Sun really didn't come out but the clouds were very high! Trail was clear dry and leaves on the trail filled in the holes between the big rocks. Always a good hike for solitude through a beautiful forest. View ledge above Tunnel Brook has a few trees growing up from far below, not going to be easy to clear them to open the view. Spring is flowing
. Warmed up but near treeline it got chilly and I passed by some patches of snow. I met the owner of the bike just as I hit treeline. But millions of people on the summit. I walked by and went back way I came and had a snack near the north end. Just a breeze and view in all directions grand. Red roof in Lincoln stands out and Mt Washington glowed met a couple headed up on my way down. Good hike. Many memories how this hike has changed since I first hiked it long before Hurricane Irene.
