The turn off Old Dicey Rd to Elwell Trail heading east always confuses me - I always think the trail sign is after the turn and once again, I had to scout through woods for the actual trail. Everything else in pretty good shape. |

Terrific morning. Was planning on a bigger loop but changed plans after too many ankle-busting leaves covering small rocks and roots made for some unpleasantness. However, woods were gorgeous and pretty remote-feeling. Enjoyed lunch on the rock overlooking beaver pond vista on bump to west of Mowglis. On way out, I noticed I had never been to end of nature trail near the Clark Brook Bridge - that was also pretty pleasant. Explored large cellar hole near Clark Brook; noticed other cellar holes I had not seen before. |
