Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: all but one stream snow bridged, and the one that wasn't was a hop over
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: one huge blow down that was high enough that I didn't even need to duck under it, but I would hate to see if it became unstable...the tree must have been 20 inches thick.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: saw Lucy and her owner and she looked like she was having some fun
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: found a nickel in the steep gully area...probably the most random find I've ever made.
Comments: The trail was beautifully packed out and easy to follow. Saw an occasional post hole from when someone strayed off the beaten path, but we didn't PH once and we bare booted up. We used crampons coming down because the snow was packed well enough with some ice under a couple of sections, that it made for easier descent without constant worry of losing footing. We actually jogged down most of the trail making for a quick descent of around 40 minutes. My knees are made at me for it today tho...
