I've been to Tecumseh before, but never hiked Mt. Tecumseh Trail from the north, and I wanted to do it before Tripoli Rd is closed for the winter. While the road is open, I think the northern approach is a great alternative. It's much quieter than the conga line from the ski area. When you add a side trip to the top of the ski slopes (via Sosman Trail), the hike is 7.25 miles round trip.
Unfortunately, the clouds never really lifted today. No views from either the slopes or the summit. |
