I did not do the Tecumseola Loop this time, but pleased with the shorter-form, OAB's.
Somehow, I got it in my head to Grid out Tecumseh, so that I did, today. Ran into some of the most wonderful and positive hikers (you know who you are!). Lots of smiles and happy talk. Trail is in great shape, some leaves underfoot. Otherwise, dry.
Heartwarming to see some intermittent water on Mt Osceola trail, mainly on the slabby rock. Not much of a risk for slipping, but tomorrow may change that. One tiny spot with mud... Windy heading up, quiet on the ridge. A later start meant the trail back to the car was generally quiet and therefore, runnable in many places and across many rocks. Didn't check out the loo's, but I know they are generally in good shape. Grab this one from the Tripoli side while you can.
Middle Osceola, 71/72 for Trailwrights. N. Iso, of all peaks, being the last one needed. Easily discernable herd path. |
