Ski trails appeared to be fully mowed. Some areas with active construction (snowmaking line repair/installation), so heed caution, but otherwise fairly smooth sailing. Tower access road continues to be much smoother post-repair than it has been in years. The line I've been bushwhacking from the herd path to the summit is getting clogged with blowdowns, and the summit vista is being overtaken by the regrowth of the clearcut. A new view popped up recently from the crag to the north.
Leaves still on the trees with some foliage colors.
Beautiful morning with blue skies (cloudy just south) and temperatures in the 50s. Chairlift running for Octoberfest, but did not see any non-employees. |
