a car spot is definitely the way to hike Shelburne Moriah Mountain so you can experience both sides and enjoy the many views along the way. started at end of Conner road on the shelburne trail... super easy to follow to the junction of the Kenduskeag trail. Kenduskeag trail to summit was in great shape and easy to follow. great way to summit with open views and ledgy viewpoints. board bridges in good shape.... wild feel to the trail, many spruce grouse on the way. enjoyed time at the summit then ventured down to junction of Rattle River trail and flew back to the car. 11 mile hike with over 2900 ft of total ascent. Fabulous day. |
