Crossings one and three were rock hoppable. Crossing two is dry (as it often is during summer/fall). |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Thank you to those who reported the large blowdown on the bottom of the trail. The Forest Service has told volunteer trail maintainers that they can't do trail work during the government shutdown, so consider this blowdown removal an act of a good Samaritan. |

 | Comments: |
Trails were mostly dry this morning. A carpet of leaves has made things slippery in places. No snow or ice encountered.
Ski trails are mostly mowed. Best to avoid going down the 6 person chairlift line, as there is active construction with excavators on the lower portion (even on weekends).
A few leaves remain on the trees along the first quarter mile or so of trail, but otherwise much of the foliage has fallen in greater Waterville Valley. Still leaves on the trees further down 49 near Welch-Dickey.
Seemed like there were more vehicles in the Sandwich Dome lot than then Tecumseh ski area lot today.
Beautiful fall morning with temperatures in the 30s around mid-morning. |
