What a lovely day to saunter up the North Tripyramid slide with kiddo #1! Very chilly start to day. Due to rain earlier in the week the slide was just a tad bit slick-not ideal but added to the fun! Forgot how challenging that lower section is! We definitely utilized all the trees on t he left side going up the bottom half. Once in the open many rocks were covered in frost. Most were avoidable but the higher we got the more frost we encountered. Once we left the slide everything was nice and dry and a cake walk. We planned on descending South Slide but both decided that was for the birds, and opted to double back and descend Scaur. Excellent choice-it is such a beautiful, mellow trail!!! Proud of Margaret for staying calm and cool during the super sketchy slide sections. She’s a tough cookie! |
