From the pull off, we followed a old woods road that departed SSE from the back of the pull. Single lane path pushing through some spruce, but not bad. Found a picnic table and chair shortly, and continued on the road over a few blowdowns. Followed this road until it stopped ascending and was heading too far south, and whacked up to the summit in open woods, crossing an intersection of other dirt roads.
Found the jar, but it was full of water as was the ziplock. Drained it as best I could and re-sealed, but it was a mason-jar type so doomed to fail again. If you're headed this way, please bring a new jar & register.
Descended a similar route. Easy under 30 minute round trip on this one. |
