Comments
Comments: trails are in great shape ... Black Pond bush whack is well-travled and easy to follow ... Owls Head slide is steep with loose gravel, i hiked up the slide and down Brutus Bush whack ...

of the four stream crossings you could cross from Lincoln Woods to Owl's Head, you skip the first two streams if you opt for the Black Pond bush whack ... third crossing was an easy rock hop, fourth crossing is almost bone dry ...

Brutus bush whack starts soon after the fourth crossing, and is marked by a few birch branches on each side of its junction, turning right then climbing steeply, turning right then left near a (dry) streambed, then left again before gaining elevation until you reach a large mossy rock next to a cairn - this is the upper junction of the upper slide path and upper Brutus Bush whack route ...

lower junction of Owl's Head slide route starts a hundred yard or so after the lower Brutus Bush whack route junction, and is marked by a cairn ... if you hike up Owl's Head slide, and wish to hike down Brutus Bush whack, keep your eyes peeled for the large mossy rock and cairn at the upper junction, you can't miss it
