Comments
Comments: Flags on the 48 was a huge success! I hope everyone is able to participate or hike during this event sometime. Great day for a hike, though it was a bit chilly in the morning. Fall weather is certainly starting to set in! Leaves are just starting to change, though it is likely a few more weeks before peak. Due to the ongoing drought conditions, the trails were very dry. There were just a couple very small patches of mud around brook crossings, but they were easily avoidable. Be careful if venturing to stay at the Liberty Spring Tentsite. They have multiple signs up about bears as well as a bear incident tracker. As of today, it was 6 days since the last incident, and they said that they were overdue for another one. Other than that, trails and signs in great condition. Happy trails!
