Another day of hiking with the plague. Told my wife I’d rather be miserable in the mountains than on the couch. Started late and enjoyed another super dry hike. Hasn’t hiked FJ since 2016-really enjoyed it as did the kids. I could imagine it is sucky in wet conditions but not today! Met the Kinsman Pond caretaker in lot and again at the hut. She was swapping her 20 degree bag out for her 0 bag-said it’s getting real chilly up there at night! Met a few friendly Sobo’s and a gentlemen from Australia who was section hiking MA,VT, and NH. He wanted a throne pic but told him I had the plague so Margaret and James did the photo shoot and luckily didn’t drop his phone! We booked it down racing daylight and made it to truck at exact sunset of 7:08! |
