Parking/Access Road Notes: The base road and the lower hiker lot were not plowed yesterday am but by now is well packed down,

Water Crossing Notes: None 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The start of the Jewell trail is well marked with surveyor stakes with blue tags. In back of Marshfield station stay to the left and follow the cog up until you see the stakes. Cross over the cog at a safe place. (easier without snowshoes!)

Comments: We used snowshoes on the Jewell, switched to crampons above tree line.
Bare booters made a mess here and there with postholes that our shoes could not repair. On the return trip we donned the snowshoes again to even out the trail as best we could.
