A dragonfly or two, hornet nest down low on loop, maybe 1/2 mile in on left side of trail, ground nest at base of sapling. |

Beautiful day, great trail conditions, lovely views. A good morning to play hooky from work
Mix of reds, oranges and yellows for foiiage, dotting a mostly still green canopy, but the color is coming.
About 10 years since I last did this loop, I forgot how pretty it is. Stunning views up through Franconia Notch. |
