Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Easy to rockhop, or use established crossings. Bolles Trail crisscrosses Twin Brook multiple times, but the water is low, so crossing is easy.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Champney Falls trail is perfect. Bee Line was not well marked or highly traveled, but easy to follow. Bolles was well marked, but occasionally easy to lose as it winds across the brook and some overgrown areas.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A couple good pooches near Chocorua summit.
Bugs
Bugs: Quite buggy in the deep woods sections. Mostly mosquitos, some flies.

Comments
Comments: Decided to take a back way down from the summits. Bee Line and Bolles trails get you deep into the woods, and it was a muggy day with no breeze - the bugs were out in force! Frequent application of bug spray mostly prevented biting, but they are still annoying. Water levels are low, since it hasn't rained a lot in a while. Water crossings were easy, but Twin Brook and Paugus Brook still have plenty of water to fill up your drinking supply. Didn't see or hear a human between Chocorua summit and getting back to the lot (about 6 miles, give or take).
