Just a few trickles that can easily be stepped over. |

Ran into a trail crew on Skookumchuck and three forest rangers on the ridge. Needless to say the trails are in excellent shape. |

Saw a few other dogs on the ridge. All seemed to be enjoying themselves. |

Biting flies and gnats above about 4500 feet. |

There was a black jacket on North Lafayette. Forgot to grab it on the way back down. |

Had nearly perfect weather. Took Skookumchuck for two reasons: 1) fewer people and 2) easier route for our 12-year-old dog. Lafayette to Lincoln and back was the usual conga line (as one AMC volunteer described it). We literally didn’t even stop the first time we passed over Lafayette. Just kept on walkin.
