Straight forward hike of this loop. Went up Hancock first, the scree near the top is definitely moving down the mountain. Used to be a hundred yards 5 years ago now more like 4 tenths.
All the little rocks shift under foot. Going down the south peak has always been a mess. It is more loose now.
Nice day although the humidity was making the sweat drip off my hat visor when climbing. Not so bad along the ridge between the peaks. Trail seems to be in good shape except coming down from the re- route where there are big mud holes every year. Of course mud is smeared on the exposed roots. They are slippery.
